Pamela C. Smith, EdD, RN, ANP
Dr. Pamela C. Smith has more than thirty-seven years of professional experience in healthcare and education. She has held a variety of entrepreneurial and innovative positions in leadership, management, practice and academics; serving as a provider, an educator, a leader, a coach, a mentor and a consultant.
Over the course of Pamela’s career, she has had the opportunity to develop and implement new programs to meet current healthcare and educational needs. She has served in nursing leadership roles in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She has worked as a staff nurse, a nurse manager, an operating room nurse, a clinical research nurse, a nurse practitioner, and a nurse educator. She was a founding member and the Director of the Center for Lifelong Learning, at the University of Rochester School of Nursing from 2001-2011. Pamela’s doctoral research examined professional development socialization and the process of role transition to identify the personal self for Registered Nurse First Assistants. In 2014, she co-authored the book, The Professional Nurse: Market Yourself For Successful Results. In 2015, she co-authored the journal article, RN First Assistants: A Collaborative Approach to the National Surgeon Shortage. In 2016, she authored chapter one, Leadership Theories and Frameworks Applied to Nursing Professional Development in the textbook book Leadership in Nursing Professional Development: An Organizational and System Focus.
In addition, Pamela has served as a Legal Nurse Consultant and an independent leadership consultant for Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc, a Johnson & Johnson Company, Priority Thinking®, and The Academy for Leadership in Long-Term Care. Pamela is currently co-owner and co-founder of Class Act Consulting & Professional Development, LLC, and an adjunct faculty at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and the University of Rochester, School of Nursing.
Over the course of her career, Pamela has developed and delivered multiple presentations on a local, regional, and national level. She has taught courses at the baccalaureate, masters and doctoral level of education. In addition, she has developed and delivered educational offerings for continuing professional education. She has also coached and mentored many individuals and groups for successful results.
Michele A. Mazurowski, BA
Michele A. Mazurowski has more than thirty-seven years of experience in the legal field. Michele realized early in her career that professional image and presentation are key to success. Flawless in her presentation, with meticulous attention to detail, she has personally shopped and advised individuals working in the corporate and legal fields on how to dress for success. Michele believes that dressing for success does not have to be costly, and that one can obtain a professional wardrobe and create a certain image on a budget.
With a background in Journalism and English literature, Michele has mentored and tutored numerous high-school and college students with their writing, communication, and research skills which led to successful results. In 2014, she co-authored the book, The Professional Nurse: Market Yourself For Successful Results.
For many years, Michele has served as Treasurer for several local committees and organizations implementing strong moral and ethical values.Over the course of Michele’s legal career, she has exhibited exemplary customer service and organizational skills that have proven instrumental in building and retaining strong business relationships necessary for innovation and growth.
